Biography

Annmarie Chambers Ed.S

Teaching is a rewarding experience for Annmarie Chambers.  Annmarie graduated from Florida Memorial University with a B.S. in General Science in the College of Education and began her teaching career at Pioneer Middle in Cooper City, Florida. She currently teaches Integrated Science, Marine Science, Biology, and Biology Honors at Charles Flanagan High School, where she has been employed since 2007. Additionally, Annmarie is a General Education associate professor at West Coast University in Doral, Florida.  

 With more than 20 years teaching experience and lesson planning, Annmarie also has more than 10 years of corporate instruction and curriculum design.  Her strong background in customer service from her previous career gives her the ability to leverage her experience in the classroom. Her interests include spending quality time with her family, traveling, music, and sports. 

  Annmarie has been a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society since 2005, earned her Masters of Science in Reading Education from Florida Memorial University in Miami and she holds an Education Specialist certification in Leadership from Walden University in Minneapolis. These experiences have allowed her the opportunity to further develop her skills as an advocate in the classroom for her students, especially those with learning challenges. She is highly qualified with certifications and endorsements in General Science, Biology, Reading, English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and, Reading. She is dedicated to her role as a teacher and continues her own path as a student to effectively adapt to the ever-changing demands of today’s academic environment. Annmarie’s dedication to her students and the love of teaching has afforded her the opportunity to initiate the program Moving Obstacles Victoriously through Empowerment (MOVE),  where she uses student mentors to motivate and encourage underachieving students.
